Pauline Besnard spent 20 years perfecting her craft before opening her own salon in the heart of the Newquay district in Dinard. Specialised in plant-based colouring and natural care, an official Kydra Le Salon partner, she had everything to attract a demanding clientele, except a website worthy of her skills. Her salon lived on Instagram and word of mouth, but she was losing the clients who searched for "hairdresser Dinard" or "plant-based colouring Dinard" on Google and landed on her competitors.
Create a site that reflects Pauline's world: natural, elegant, handcrafted. Not a generic salon template. A site that makes you want to push the door before you have even set foot inside. The constraints: a controlled budget (Vitrine offer at €1,490), a tight three-week deadline, and a client with no web experience at all. The process had to stay simple for her, and the site fast, accessible and optimised for local SEO.

Five pages designed to convert: a Home that hooks, an About that builds trust, clear Services, a Gallery that proves the craft, a Contact that converts. A custom palette (deep forest green, subtle gold, natural cream) and Cormorant Garamond × Inter typography for a handcrafted, readable feel. A solid stack: Next.js App Router, strict TypeScript, Tailwind CSS v4, shadcn/ui, Resend with Upstash rate limiting for the form, cookie-free Plausible analytics, HairSalon JSON-LD for local SEO. Full HTTP headers, CSRF protection, server-side sanitisation: the same technical rigour as an e-commerce site.
